Full House at 2007 Annual Institute

An all-time high attendance of just over 800 came to the Kalahari Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells for the 58th Annual Surveyors Institute. It was the first time this annual event was held at the Kalahari.

Legislative Alert

Coming up in the next session of the Legislature is the following proposed bill:

Section 1. 443.015 of the statutes is created to read: 443.015 Examining board to establish continuing education requirements.

The examing board may establish continuing education requirements that a person must satisfy to be eligible to renew a registration, certification, or permit that is issued under this chapter.

In other words, this law would allow the architects, engineers, surveyors boards to create their own rules, if they so choose, to require continuing education as a condition for retaining one's license.
