Who We Are

The Wisconsin County Surveyors Association is dedicated to assisting its membership in their duties as wcsalogo-2010County Surveyors. The mission of a County Surveyor is to improve, maintain and make available the most reliable information about the Public Land Survey System as possible. County Surveyors also provide knowledgeable information on land law and complete access to all land related information by maintaining monuments, records and supplying the foundation for Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Benefits of being a member of the Wisconsin County Surveyors Association is having a unified voice for the concerns of the county surveyor of Wisconsin, educational and informative meetings, biannual newsletters, a forum for new and ongoing issues concerning the surveying community, specifically county surveyor issues, and of course, a chance to network and open lines of communication with county surveyors.

Wisconsin County Surveyor Directory

As of January 2017, Wisconsin has 61 County Surveyors, of which 31 are full-time and 30 are part-time. Four counties have an elected County Surveyor position: Iowa, Portage, Sauk, and Vilas.
