Committee Charges

• At-Large Directors – Co-Chairs
• Work with Chapter Directors to identify surveyors in their respective chapter regions that are willing and able to present as opportunities become available.
• Encourage Chapter Directors to utilize resources for presenting at schools (NSPS, Be-a Surveyor, Get Kids Into Surveying)
• Direct speaking requests to the appropriate chapter as the opportunity becomes available.
• This means the At-Large Director will be receiving requests at a private email address: frank@wsls.org
• Be the main contact for all initiative matters.
• Report to the WSLS Board of Directors on the committee happenings / needs / results
• Chapter Directors
• Order and store presentation supplies so it is available when needed.
• Solicit volunteers from their chapter membership when an opportunity to present is requested.
• Committee Members
• Continue to attend the annual Wisconsin School Counselor Conference
• Asking the audience to invite us to speak to their students about Land Surveying as a career option.
• Submit receipts for expenses incurred from the annual conference (submittals shall be made to The Welch Group)
• Request needs for the exhibit at the annual conference (eg. Booth display items).
• Requests shall be made through the At-Large Directors who will bring them to the Board if necessary.
• Presenters
• Present as requested
• Write a brief report (email) of their presentation to be delivered to frank@wsls.org (approximate # of students, event generalities, any unique observations, other).
